Modi cancelled his upcoming trip to Turkey on October 27-28, in reply to Turkey's President Mr Erdogan's open condemnation of India's abrogation of Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. This is seen as one of the first steps in a diplomatic offensive expected to be launched by India against Turkey.
